A dash cam hanging off a cigarette lighter socket with a cable across the windscreen is not a fitted dash cam. We wire them in properly, tucked into the trim, taking a switched feed so nothing drains the battery.

We fit dash cams, reversing cameras, head units, speakers, sat-nav systems and vehicle trackers. The wiring is run behind the trim and taken from a proper feed rather than a socket, so there are no cables on show and nothing left drawing current when the car is parked.
On vehicles with hard-wire kits available we will use one, so the camera can park-monitor without flattening the battery.

Questions we get asked
Will a hard-wired dash cam flatten my battery?
Not if it is wired properly. A hard-wire kit with voltage cut-off will shut the camera down before the battery gets low enough to stop the car starting.
Can you keep my steering wheel controls?
On most vehicles, yes, using the right adaptor for the car. We will tell you when you book whether one is available for yours.
