Mobile MOT failure repairs
An MOT failure sheet is a list of jobs, and most of them do not need a garage. Send us a photo of the sheet, we will tell you what it will take, and we will do the work at your address.

Do we cover you?
Put your postcode in and we'll tell you straight away.
Most MOT failures are brakes, suspension, tyres, lights, exhausts and emissions — all things we deal with routinely, and all things we can put right where the car is.
Send a photo of the failure sheet when you book and we will come with the right parts rather than turning up to have a look first. Once the work is done the vehicle goes back for its retest.
When you need this
Any of these sound familiar?
- The car has failed its MOT and you have a list of defects
- It passed with advisories you want dealt with before they become failures
- The MOT has run out and the car needs work before it can be tested
What the job covers
- Read through the failure sheet with you and explain what each item means
- Repair the common failures: brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, lights and wipers
- Diagnose and repair emissions failures
- Replace bulbs, wiper blades, mirrors and number plates
- Advise honestly where a repair is not worth doing on the vehicle
Why have it done at home?
You don't lose a day to it. No dropping the vehicle off, no arranging a lift back, no waiting for a phone call to say it's ready. We turn up where it's parked, do the work, and you carry on with whatever you were doing.
Send a photo of the failure sheet with your registration and we will price the whole list up front.
Before we arrive
Have the failure sheet or the MOT certificate number ready — a photo of the sheet sent over on WhatsApp is the quickest way for us to price it properly.
Questions we get asked
Can I drive the car after it has failed?
Only in limited circumstances — to a booked test or to a garage for repair, and only if it is roadworthy and taxed. If it has failed on something dangerous, do not drive it. That is one of the reasons a mobile mechanic makes sense here.
Do you arrange the retest?
We can point you at a local test station and help you get it booked. The repairs are the part we handle.
Do you do MOTs yourselves?
No — an MOT has to be carried out at an approved test station with the equipment. We do the repairs, and we can help you arrange the test.
Need mot failure repairs?
Book a slot online, or ring and speak to the mechanic who will be doing the job.
Broken down or won't start? Ring rather than book — roadside work can't wait for a slot.
