The way we work
A mechanic who comes to you
No garage, no drop-off, no arranging a lift home. We work on the vehicle where it already is — your drive, your workplace car park, or the side of the road if that is where it has stopped.
What a mobile mechanic actually is
The same work a garage does, done by a mechanic who brings the tools and the parts to the vehicle. Not a diagnostic-only service, and not a breakdown patrol — proper servicing and repair work, done on site.
For most jobs the vehicle never needs to move. Servicing, brakes, batteries, suspension, diagnostics, exhausts and a good many clutches all get done where you parked it.
The exceptions are worth being straight about: anything needing a ramp, wheel alignment, or the MOT test itself. We will tell you before we come out rather than after we arrive.

Interim Service
Oil, filter and a full safety check, done on your drive. Suited to higher-mileage vehicles between annual services.
Full Service
The annual service: all filters, fresh oil, fluids and a full inspection — carried out at your home or workplace.
Vehicle Diagnostics
Warning light on? We plug in at your address, read the fault codes and tell you what is actually wrong.
Brake Repairs
Pads, discs, fluid and handbrake work carried out on your drive. Grinding or squealing brakes are worth acting on quickly.
Battery Testing & Replacement
Car will not start? We test the battery and charging system where the vehicle is, and fit a replacement if that is what it needs.
Steering & Suspension
Knocking over bumps or vague steering? Shock absorbers, springs, bushes, ball joints and track rod ends, replaced on site.
Clutch Repairs
Slipping or dragging clutch. A big job that needs the right space — ring us and we will talk through whether it can be done where you are.
Exhaust Repairs
Blowing exhaust, rattling heat shield or a failed section. Repaired or replaced at your address.
MOT Failure Repairs
Failed its MOT? Bring us the sheet and we will put the failures right where the car is parked.
Where we come out to
Norwich, North Norfolk, South Norfolk and Suffolk, working out of Norwich. Online booking runs to about 30 miles from base, though the edge of that is softer than it sounds — if you are just outside, ring us.

How it works — the usual questions
What can actually be done at my house?
Most of it. Servicing, brakes, batteries, diagnostics, suspension, exhausts, clutches on a lot of vehicles, and general repairs. What we cannot do at your address is anything needing a ramp, a wheel alignment rig or an MOT bay — and we will tell you when that is the case rather than turn up and find out.
Do you need power or water?
No. Everything comes with us. If a particular job does need a socket we will say so when you book, so it is never a surprise on the day.
What if it rains?
Most work carries on. Some jobs should not be done in the wet — anything where water could get into a system that needs to stay dry — and where that is the case we will move it rather than rush it and cause a problem.
Can you come to my workplace?
Yes, and a lot of our servicing happens exactly that way. We just need permission to be in the car park and enough space around the vehicle.
Where do the parts come from?
We supply them. New or good-quality used, whichever suits you and the vehicle, and we will price both if there is a choice worth making.
How is it priced?
By the job and the vehicle. We agree it with you before anything starts — nothing gets done and then charged for afterwards. Give us the registration and what needs doing and you will get a proper figure rather than a range.
Will it invalidate my warranty?
Servicing away from a main dealer does not invalidate a manufacturer warranty as long as the schedule is followed and the right parts and oil grades are used. That is what we do, and the service book gets stamped.
