Mobile clutch repairs
Clutch work is a proper job. On the right vehicle, in the right space, we can do it on your drive — but it is not something to book blind through a form. Give us a ring and we will work out together whether it is on.

Put your postcode in and we'll tell you straight away.
A clutch that slips, drags or judders is on its way out, and how big a job replacing it is depends entirely on the vehicle. Some are a few hours; some mean dropping a subframe.
We do clutch work mobile where the vehicle and the location allow it — that means a solid, level surface, enough room to work, and preferably somewhere under cover. That is why this one is a phone call rather than an online booking: it is worth five minutes on the phone to establish whether your driveway is the right place for it.
When you need this
Any of these sound familiar?
- Engine revs climb but the car does not pull, especially uphill or in higher gears
- A burning smell after driving in traffic
- The clutch bites right at the top of the pedal travel
- Difficulty getting into gear, particularly first or reverse
- Juddering as you pull away
- The pedal has gone light, or stays on the floor
What the job covers
- Confirm the clutch is actually the fault before anything comes apart
- Replace the clutch plate, cover and release bearing as a set
- Replace the dual mass flywheel where the vehicle has one and it needs it
- Replace clutch master and slave cylinders, and cables on older vehicles
- Check the crankshaft and gearbox oil seals while access is there
Why have it done at home?
You don't lose a day to it. No dropping the vehicle off, no arranging a lift back, no waiting for a phone call to say it's ready. We turn up where it's parked, do the work, and you carry on with whatever you were doing.
Clutch prices vary widely by vehicle. Ring with your registration and we will give you a proper figure rather than a guess.
Before we arrive
This is the one job where where you park really matters. Call us first — we need to know the vehicle and see what space you have before committing to a date.
Questions we get asked
Can a clutch really be changed at my house?
On a lot of vehicles, yes, given firm level ground and room to work. On some it is not practical. That is exactly what the phone call is for.
How long will I be without the car?
Most of a day. We will give you a realistic window when we know the vehicle.
Should I replace the dual mass flywheel too?
If it is worn, yes — putting a new clutch onto a tired flywheel usually means doing the job twice. We check it while it is apart and tell you what we find.

Book a slot online, or ring and speak to the mechanic who will be doing the job.
Broken down or won't start? Ring rather than book — roadside work can't wait for a slot.
